Alberto Gorrochategui

Alberto Gorrochategui, he completed his studies at the Royal Conservatory of Madrid with honors under the direction of Professor Iagoba Fanlo. Later he moved to Paris to perfect with a teacher at the Conservatory Superior of Music in Paris, Philippe Müller Professor, concluding that perfect with "1ºPrix".



He has been taught by masters such as Richard Vandra, Frans Helmerson, Asier Polo, Antonio Meneses, Wolfgang Boettcher or Alban Gerharht.



He has been a scholarship from the Fundación Marcelino Botin and prizes in national and international competitions of cello and chamber music.

 

He has collaborated with the Spanish National Orchestra and RTVE Orchestra and has made recordings for RNE, “Sello Autor”,Arsis and Deutsche Grammophon. He has been part of the Iberian Cello Octet conducted by Elias Arizcuren and is part of MalatsTrio.



He has performed as a soloist with orchestra and in chamber music recitals in concert halls in Spain, France, Germany, England and Mexico, while under the baton of conductors such as M.Bragado, A. Leaper, J.Pons, G. Pehlivanian ... and premiering works by composers such as, A. Noguera, E. Rincón, S. Marine, E. Vadillo... many of which have been dedicated.

He is the Artistic Director of "Class Festival" activity that combines with teaching and pedagogy cello and his concert career.
